Smart Phone Time

The last few weeks I have been looking for a new cell phone.  I currently have Verizon and my new every two is on Friday.  I have wanted to get the iPhone for some time now after using an iPod Touch from Matt.  It seems to have everything going for it except the AT&T network.  Because of this and the fact that all of my family has Verizon as their providers I wanted to stick with Verizon if possible.  Lucky for me there are now three new smart phones for the Verizon in which I am interested.  The first to be released is the HTC Imagio which is running Windows Mobile 6.5.  This wouldn't be my first choice of phone OS but it seems quite appealing.  Next we have two possible phones, the Motorola Sholes, or whatever it ends up being called and the HTC Hero, or some variant.  I am quite interested in the Android OS provided by Google which runs on both of these phones.  Time to wait for a few weeks until Verizon confirms the release of these phones.

Ikariam

I started playing Ikariam a few days ago. Its a simple web based real time strategy game. Think civilization but it actually takes real world time to create, research and transport troops.  Apparently it has been out for quite some time but it has taken until now to catch my eye. So far I have sucked a handful of my friends into the time sink that is Ikariam. Hit me up on the Alpha server on island 84:75, town Coruscant.

Soon the Team FX alliance will rule the world.

Busy Weekend

The weekend has been a super busy one so far.

I ended up fixing the dumb shrub remover's mistake of chopping through our electric line to the light post. If only they cared at all it would have been easy to miss. However, instead I spent most of the day in the mud digging holes and running wires. Now a super fun time but enlightening none the less. I now know what I don't want to be when I grow up.

The final mowing of the year has taken place today as well. I chopped up tons of leaves and blew them into the street for others to pickup. The mower is definitely dying though. The spark plug was entirely full of oil and the engine had barely a drop in it.

Finally some fun stuff to do! The stress test of Pirates of the Burning Seas opened yesterday and somehow I missed downloading it so that happened while I was working all day. I'm now in the process of installing and setting up my account. I'll be back with more information about this new pirate based MMO after I get some play time in.

Unfortunate Ass

I have been waiting with baited breath for my GameFly account to come through for me and ship Assassins Creed soon. However, we just ran into a problem. Kane & Lynch was apparently shipped instead of Assassins Creed. From what I have read the game isn't very thrilling but I will I will have to give it a try when it arrives in three days. It looks like it might be time to return Call of Duty 4 in hopes that my top pick is sent finally.

Oh, Matt is a noob.

So It Begins

For some reason I felt the need to waste even more of my time using a computer. So here it is, my first actual blog post. We will see if things pick up quickly as I think of random things to jot down. Most likely this will focus on technology and game related topics where my opinion doesn't matter but should. More to come in the upcoming days / weeks / months.
